John Mayer will head back out on tour again this summer, this time being joined by DJ Logic and Maroon 5. Most of the material that he’ll be playing comes from his ultra successful “Room for Squares” debut. The tour kicks off in Vancouver on June 24 th and will run through the end of August. Some were surprised when Mayer decided to take this summer tour with Maroon 5 because he’s still on a spring tour promoting his new release “Heavier Things.”
Mayer has an obvious love for music, and it’s attracted legions of fans to his shows. Mayer picked up a guitar for the first time at age 13 and within two years, he had made a name for himself in local blues clubs. Mayer writes all of his own songs, another part of his appeal. His acoustic sets on stage have inspired many to play, although Mayer himself stated "I wanted to be listenable and play tunes that other people could play but not the way I play them".
