The AFC West Champion Chiefs have a long season ahead of them. The Chiefs have the privilege of being the only team in the league to have to face all four conference finalist from last season (Steelers, Bears, Jets, Packers). Adding insult to injury, the Chiefs will play all four teams in a row. That being said, the Chiefs still have a team that can weather that storm.
In the draft, the franchise worked out a deal with the Cleveland Browns to move down in the draft in order to take a chance and select Pitt receiver Jonathan Baldwin. The franchise is happy that they got a young, raw receiver who had a huge sophomore season but who also saw a huge drop off in his junior year, thus leading to him eventually dissing his team and quarterback and declaring early eligibility. Coach Haley is confident that they picked the right player for his team. "We've done our due diligence," Haley said. "We had a formal interview with him at the Combine and we brought him in for one of our 30 visits. We are satisfied with what we found."
