History was made in 1854 when one of the first ever Texas Agricultural Fairs was held in San Antonio. The San Antonio Stock and Rodeo Show thrived in the booming South Texas region while other fairs came and went. Infact it became so popular that there was major public outcry in the early 1940's for better accomodation for the livestock show. Joe Freeman heeded the call and built the Freeman Coliseum which served the San Antonio Rodeo nicely until the transfer to the state of the art facilities of the SBC Center in 2003 .

The San Antonio Rodeo features some fantastic performers such as Alan Jackson, Bill Cosby, Reba McEntire, Brook and Dunn, Willie Nelson, Steve Miller Band, Joe Nichols, Rascall Flats, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Asleep At The Wheel. You are sure to have a great time!
