Kid Rock will be on tour during the summer of 2004 to promote his new self-titled album. The new cd is less rap then what we’re used to from “The Kid”, but he feels the change towards a rock/country blend will make him happier in the end. The tour will start in Cincinnati on June 24 th and will feature dates in the Midwest and eastern parts of the country with the final date tentatively scheduled for September 3rd in Syracuse at the New York State Fair.
Born in Michigan, Bob Ritchie was raised on a mix of early hip-hop and Detroit legends like Bob Seger. Signed in 1990, Kid Rock spent almost a decade on smaller tours and performing in underground clubs, but in 1998, he released “Devil Without A Cause”, his hardest album to date and the album with the most playable songs on air. It was on this album that Rock released his first country ballad, a surprise to his die-hard rock fans. Rock has released 3 albums since “Devil Without A Cause” and all have been very successful, moving Kid Rock nearer and nearer to superstar status.
